Duke Center for Health Informatics--N414. Data, Information, and Knowledge Representation

This course addresses different strategies for representing data, information and knowledge including description logic, information models, data elements, terminologies and ontologies. Emphasis will be placed on the data, information, knowledge framework for solving problems in health informatics. Both declarative and procedural knowledge acquisition, modeling, representation and use will be explored. Spring (distance-based) 3 credits.
