Cheryl Robinson is a Senior Research Aide for Translational Population Health Research in Durham. Cheryl joined CTSI as a permanent staff member in December, working in Duke South Clinic as a Research Aide. She spent a little over five years serving in the US Navy boot camp in Orlando, Florida, and the Naval Operations Base in Norfolk, Virginia, to begin courses in underwater sound surveillance. Her advanced training took her to Eureka, California, and her career as an Ocean Systems Technician officially began at the base in Dam Neck, Virginia. Two years later, she was sent to Guam where she continued to serve and earned her honorable discharge. She has earned two good conduct medals.
