A native of Asheville, North Carolina, Mr. Davon Washington joined the Duke Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) in August 2017 as a project coordinator. He supports community-engaged research by coordinating, participating, planning, and ensuring strong relationships with community leaders and community members based in Durham, NC.
Before joining CTSI, Mr. Washington served in several leadership capacities at North Carolina Central University’s Department of Public Health. In May of 2017, he attained his Bachelors of Science in Public Health Education from North Carolina Central University. He is inspired to give back to the community that played an active role in his undergraduate experience and shaped his views on community engagement and health.
