Ms. Yarborough joined the staff of the Murdock Study in 2013. Ms. Yarborough comes to the Murdock Study with more than 20 years of experience in the Medical Field. She is certified as Medical Laboratory Technologist, Forensic Collector and Breath Alcohol Technician. She has served as Laboratory Manager in several medical offices, including family practice, obstetrics and gynecology and pediatrics practice. Along with being the Lab Manager in these practices, she was the coordinator for safety, state, federal and CLIA regulations for the office. Ms. Yarborough worked previously at North Carolina Nutrition Research Institute before joining Duke University. Ms. Yarborough plays a key role in recruitment, retention and community engagement of multiple studies including the MURDOCK Study, PPS, and COPD. Ms. Yarborough, utilizing skills developed in lab management, is an invaluable member of the clinical team across multiple studies. She enjoys the opportunity to work in research and hopes to make a difference in the future.
