CTSA Co-Hosts: Duke, UNC, and Wake Forest
The coronavirus pandemic has created a research environment rife with uncertainty and anxiety, especially for early-career investigators. To provide guidance and reassurance in these stressful times, the CTSA hubs at Duke, UNC, and Wake Forest are collaborating to create an opportunity for information exchange and discussion across our respective communities of scholars so that we might better position our junior colleagues to navigate existing challenges. Join us via Zoom on July 9, 2020, from 2-4:30 p.m. for a three-part seminar, including:
-
Brief presentations by representatives from NIH, the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, and the Burroughs-Wellcome Fund, advising participants of current funding priorities
-
A “pivot panel” including senior researchers sharing lessons about when and how to pivot research direction or how to manage unanticipated obstacles in one’s research trajectory
-
Breakout sessions by research area and moderated by experienced investigators, allowing for more in-depth discussion
