Dr. Seronda A. Robinson

Dr. Seronda A. Robinson is a dedicated community health leader and advocate serving as an epidemiologist and professor in the Department of Public Health Education at North Carolina Central University (NCCU). Driven by a passion for healthy outcomes, she works to strengthen community wellness by addressing the social determinants of health, promoting active living, and delivering practical health interventions.

Dr. Robinson serves in several key leadership roles bridging academic research and community action:

  • Co-Director, NCCU H.O.P.E. Program & Mobile Behavioral Health Clinic: Expanding access to vital behavioral health services in underserved neighborhoods.
  • Co-Lead, RCMI Center for Health Disparities Research Community Engagement Core: Fostering sustainable collaborations between researchers and local residents to tackle systemic health concerns.
  • Co-Lead, Duke-NCCU CTSA Partnership Community Engagement Module: Accelerating translational science and population health improvements by pairing community voices with cutting-edge health research.

Beyond research and outreach, Dr. Robinson is deeply committed to workforce development and empowering the next generation. She actively mentors and trains students to serve as community health ambassadors, ensuring that local public health solutions remain community-led, culturally grounded, and sustainable.

On the CPRN ELC Dr. Robinson represents NCCU with specialized expertise in Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) and collaborative academic-community partnerships.
