Community Engagement

By working in collaboration with communities, researchers, practitioners, students, staff, stakeholders and advocates at Duke, NCCU, and beyond we strive to improve the health and well-being of North Carolinians and facilitate authentic, long-lasting partnerships.  Through our collective expertise and community ties, we will offer innovative programs and events including

  • Ethnodramas

  • Mind-Body-Spirit-Soul workshops

  • Community research tours

  • Community health screening, education and vaccination events

  • Consultations and matchmaking

These efforts will help build capacity, support community and academic partners, and create stronger community-engaged research ties across Duke, NCCU, and communities throughout NC.  We invite all to reach out to share ideas and explore opportunities to collaborate on community-engaged research and service events.
