K12 Application Prep Program (KAPP)

Preparing an application for the Duke CTSA K12?

The CTSA will be accepting applications for the K12 Application Prep Program (KAPP), a special program designed for Duke and NCCU CTSA K12 applicants.  This program will assist investigators with preparing their applications for the 2026 deadline (for funding to begin July 1, 2026).

KAPP Registration is open Monday, September 22, 2025.

Prior to the Duke CTSA K12 application deadline, KAPP participants meet as small groups for targeted discussions focusing on specific sections of the grant application.  These meetings will be facilitated by a senior faculty member.

Space in this program is limited.  Those individuals accepted are expected to commit to completing all program requirements.

It is required that you attend orientation and all KAPP workshops.

It is also required that you submit drafts of your sections 5-7 days prior to the workshop so your senior mentor can review prior to meeting with participants.
