Ann Kaseberg has a background in program evaluation, qualitative research, and
community engagement. She is a graduate of the UNC-Chapel Hill Master of Public
Health program, with a concentration in health equity, social justice, and human
rights.

Prior to joining the Community Engaged Research Initiative (CERI) team, her
experience as a certified nursing assistant and medical assistant enhanced her
ability to foster inclusive environments, center patient voices, and address
systemic factors affecting health equity. She has also worked on initiatives to
prevent gender-based violence, promote reproductive justice, develop public
health leaders, and advance mental health advocacy.

As a project planner, Ann manages and evaluates CERI's services, including Community Consultation Studios, which are facilitated virtual discussions with community experts who provide their lived experience and feedback on projects to help center community priorities in clinical research. She also supports CERI’s Sparks program, which bring together researchers, community groups, patients, and other stakeholders who work on the same health issue from different approaches to stimulate new and innovative ideas for community-engaged research. She helps build and support community partnerships and collaborates with faculty to strengthen community-engaged research across Duke.
