Deborah joined the Duke Clinical and Translational Science Institute in March 2022 as the Chief Administrative Officer and Assistant Dean for Translational Science. She brings her knowledge, expertise, and management skills to help lead the Duke CTSI team into the next phase of growth and prosperity.
Deb is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of experience in administration, finance, and operations at an academic medical center, most recently at NYU Langone Health, where she served as both Director of the Administrative Core for Clinical and Translational Science Award and Executive Director for the Clinical and Translational Science Institute. Deb obtained her Master’s in Management in 2009 from the NYU Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service, where she entered night school as a mid-career, part-time student. She simultaneously enrolled in a Certificate Program in healthcare leadership through the Greater New York Hospital Association, all while helping to submit the CTSA grant application for NYU School of Medicine.
