Rebecca is a recent PhD graduate from the Cell Biology and Dermatology Departments at Duke University, where she studied skin development. As a graduate student, she began exploring career paths and took an interest in project management. Becca interned with the Duke Project Management Community of Practice (Duke PMCoP), serving as a Project Coordinator for the Steering Committee. She also collaborated with two fellow graduate students and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) to launch DEVELPMNT, a program aimed at introducing trainees to project management as a career and transferrable skillset. Prior to her graduate work, she received her bachelor's from the College of Wooster (OH) and worked as a research technician at the University of Pittsburgh. She holds research experience in fields ranging from cell biology and immunology to reproductive health and endangered species protection. Becca is eager to translate her diverse scientific background and skills into a career as a Team Science Project Leader. She is excited to join the CTSI Team and help move research from bench to bedside.
