Salimah El-Amin, DrPH, serves as the assistant director for the Center for Research, Community Engagement, Social Impact, and Trust (CREST). In this role, she provides thought leadership and strategic support across CTSI, contributing to research-focused initiatives that strengthen collaboration and community impact. Prior to this position, she led large-scale organizational initiatives at Strategic Education, Inc. She also previously worked at Duke University from 2015–2018 in the Samuel DuBois Cook Center.
Dr. El-Amin brings 20 years of experience leading cross-functional teams, managing projects, conducting research, teaching, and improving organizational systems and processes. She holds a Doctor of Public Health from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and a Master of Public Health from Drexel University.
