Together, we are shaping the future of medicine.

The OneDukeGen study is an ongoing planned 10-year study that launched in 2023 and is aiming to enroll 150,000 Duke patients. Our goal is to find ways to make personalized healthcare a reality and build a healthier future for everyone.

One way OneDukeGen is doing this is by studying how our health is impacted by our genes. We are exploring the genetic causes of diseases such as cancer and heart disease in a population reflective of the Duke community.

Through the study, participants have the option to receive some specific genetic findings. We also want to understand whether people speak with their health care provider and receive care for any genetic results that are returned, and if not, why. This will help us understand how we can improve access to important services for the Duke community.

OneDukeGen is supported by a partnership between DukeHealth and nference, a healthcare analytics company.
