Duke CTSI Seeks Faculty Leader for Community Engaged Research Initiative

The Duke Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) is offering a unique opportunity to co-direct the Community Engaged Research Initiative (CERI) by leadership appointment.

The CERI faculty co-director will promote interinstitutional collaboration and goodwill while building strong and trusting working relationships with CERI and Duke faculty, staff, and administrators, as well as CTSI leadership and external partners. The new co-director will report to the faculty lead of the Equity and Learning Health Communities Pillar.

“This person will work collaboratively with the current CERI co-director to envision, develop, and lead services and programs that support health-related community-engaged research at Duke,” said Raquel Ruiz, MBA, MA Ed, co-director for Equity and Learning Health Communities.

The position includes both strategic and operational responsibilities requiring 10% of total professional effort.

“The faculty co-director will have experience in community-engaged research and proven success in leading team-based transdisciplinary, clinical/translational, community-based, or basic science research,” said Michelle J. Lyn, MBA, MHA, co-director for Equity and Learning Health Communities.
