The 6th Annual Invented at Duke event featured CTSI and the CTSI Accelerator team as a resource for funding, expertise, and project management support to help translate Duke science from discovery to deployment.
Organized yearly by the Office for Translation and Commercialization (OTC), Invented at Duke connects Duke inventors, faculty, entrepreneurs, and students with key resources supporting innovation. This year's event, held Nov. 20 at Penn Pavilion, featured two inventors who were awarded CTSI funding previously: Justin Pollara (MitoDrive) and Jonathan Viventi (Flexible, high-density neural interfaces).
CTSI was represented by Eman Ghanem, Tarun Saxena, Promila Pagadala, and Becca Moreci from the Accelerator team. They shared information with attendees about CTSI resources and services that support Duke research teams in translating discoveries from bench to bedside.
To commemorate Duke’s Centennial, Invented at Duke featured interactive stations with archival materials from historic Duke inventions and a 20-foot-long timeline of the past 100 years of innovation at Duke.
