For the CTSI, Rebecca Brouwer serves as the senior staff member for the Navigation and Team Science Community. In addition, she provides strategic and operational leadership of engagement activities for Duke researchers across campus. In her role, she interacts campus-wide with researchers and administrators to ensure coordination and synergy of efforts between various offices, programs, tools, and initiatives.
Cindy Canty-Dumas
Cindy Canty-Dumas is a highly motivated professional with more than 25 years of administrative experience. She worked as a training coordinator for Pfizer for 15 years prior to relocating to North Carolina in March 2010. She has been employed at Duke since March 2014, serving first as an office manager for International Partnership for Innovative Healthcare Delivery (IPIHD), prior to joining the Chancellor’s office in May 2015 to serve as an Administrative Specialist. She received her master's of social work summa cum laude from Fordham University in 2010.

Mr. Chavis joined Duke CTSI to work on the Project Baseline Health Study in Durham, N.C. Prior to joining CTSI, he worked at the Duke Eye Center for 22 years. As a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA), he held several positions throughout his time at the Eye Center which included Visual Fields Technician, Lead Glaucoma Clinic Technician, Lead Ophthalmic Ultrasound Biometrist, and Surgical Coordinator. He holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology from UNC-Chapel Hill.
Ms. Clark is the Grants & Contracts Manager for the Duke Clinical and Translational Science Institute. She joined CTSI in 2016 after 17 years of research administration experience, six years working with investigators in academic clinical research at Duke University, and 11 years working with computer scientists at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She manages the CTSI financial portfolio for federal, state, foundation, and internal Duke-funded sources.
Leonor Corsino, MD, MHS

Angela Cotton joined as HR Manager of the CTSI in 2022 after serving in the Duke Department of Radiology. She began her career at Duke in 2010 working as an Administrative Assistant with the Private Diagnostic Clinic (PDC) Accreditation & Patient Safety Office and later as an HR Generalist, with a focus on Physician Integration. In 2014, she transitioned to Pediatrics HR, managing Faculty Affairs, including Appointments, Promotions, and Tenure; credentialing; and clinical privileges. She also served in the Medical Education office within the Department of Surgery.

Janis Curtis, MSPH, MA
Janis Curtis joins CTSI as Associate Director of the Duke Clinical Data Research Networks (CDRN) Program. As the Associate Director, she is responsible for establishing the operational policies and processes needed at Duke to respond to requests for clinical data and for co-investigators to support multi-site clinical research studies coming via the CDRN. In collaboration with ACE-Research in DHTS, Janis oversees the maintenance of the technical infrastructure underpinning the Duke CDRN Program.
As a clinical research coordinator, Arlene David works with the OneDukeGen team. David enrolls study participants for the OneDukeGen study, as well as collects and processes blood samples from research participants. She has been with Duke since 2014, having previously worked at the Duke Regional Hospital Laboratory and the MC3- Carolinas Cord Blood Bank.
