The Office for Institutional Equity offers a series of topic specific workshops designed to provide more focused education and support on key issues related to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. The sessions are open to the Duke community, in particular to staff interested in increasing skill and workplace culture in their departments. Registration is required for each session.
This session will offer general information about health considerations related to serving the LGBTQPIA+ community. Participants will receive foundational information about health disparities that impact and diversity of health approaches/needs related to sexual and gender identity. Participants will engage with interactive work around creating an inclusive and equitable health and healing experiences specifically related to sexuality and gender identity.
