The Office for Institutional Equity offers a series of topic specific workshops designed to provide more focused education and support on key issues related to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. The sessions are open to the Duke community, in particular to staff interested in increasing skill and workplace culture in their departments. Registration is required for each session. This session will offer foundational information about microaggressions and implicit bias. In this interactive session participants will learn how to define these and related terms and how to understand and address issues of bias as they show up in the workplace within our Duke community. Participants will have an opportunity for skill building around response and prevention of microaggressions in our community and will develop a deeper understanding about how to recognize and intentionally challenge implicit bias. Designed for staff, student, and faculty learners.   Wed, Apr 5, 2023 | 2 PM - 3:30 PM | Duke University Press Library, 905 W. Main St. Ste. 20-C (2nd Floor)   Please contact Angela Kalo if you have any questions or concerns.
