Affiliate Duke CTSI faculty members Keisha Bentley-Edwards, PhD, and Senthil Selvaraj, MD, have been named to the 2025 Office for Faculty leadership programs at Duke University School of Medicine.
Bentley-Edwards joins the Academic Leadership, Innovation, and Collaborative Engagement (ALICE) program, a 10-month leadership development opportunity for mid-career women faculty in the School of Medicine. The program empowers participants with in-depth experiences in leadership skill development, personal reflection and goal setting, peer mentoring, and structured 360-degree feedback. Within CTSI, Bentley-Edwards co-directs the Center for Equity in Research and Integrating Special Populations.
Selvaraj joins the Leadership Development for Researchers (LEADER) program, designed for junior faculty who are leading a research group and driving their own research agenda. The program was developed to bridge the gap between the scientific expertise that led individuals to a career in academic medicine, and the management skills that will be required to succeed as the leaders of small business units. Within CTSI, Selvaraj serves on the leadership team for the Center for Precision Health.
