Leatrice Martin has been at Duke for 21 years, working for Duke Heart leading the Community Education and Outreach Program. Programs have included Duke Heart’s Compression-only CPR community training initiative Save-A-Life, Triangle Metro Heart Walk, community outreach screenings, volunteer management, physician community engagement, women and heart support and advocacy, physician engagement and lead our annual National Heart Month campaign for 21 years! Leatrice received a bachelor's in Public Health Education for North Carolina Central University and an MBA from the University of Mount Olive. Prior to coming to Duke Heart, she worked as a Public Health Educator for nine years in communities in North Carolina.
