The Research Networks Liaison Team serves as the gateway for Duke investigators considering using various networks to which Duke belongs, including:
-
the Clinical Data Research Networks (CDRNs), such as PCORNet (connecting electronic health record systems around the country in a common data model to facilitate cohort assessment, study feasibility, collaborator identification and clinical outcomes data collection)
-
the Trial Innovation Network (TIN), which has linked all 64 CTSA institutions into a single clinical research network ready to engage in multi-center studies using highly efficient processes such as a central IRB and master clinical trial agreements.
Services provided by the Research Networks Liaison Team include:
-
Assistance with requests for EHR data and/or collaborators through the Clinical Data Research Networks
-
Assistance with accessing resources for study development, from planning through study design, including identifying funding opportunities, grant development, informatics, biostatistics, and other services
-
Assistance with accessing the Trial Innovation Network, completing the TIN Proposal Submission Form, and obtaining letters of support from the CTSA Principal Investigator
-
Assistance with access to the Primary Care Research Consortium and submission to the PCRC Research Advisory Board
