Community Advisory Boards

Created in 2009, the MURDOCK Study Community Advisory Board (CAB) is made up of community stakeholders including healthcare providers, educators, community leaders, and study participants. This group provides on-the-ground perspective and advises Duke Kannapolis leadership and staff by sharing insights and suggestions for successful engagement, recruitment, and retention of study participants.

The Project Baseline Community Advisory Boards work closely with Duke Baseline Health Study leadership and study teams in Kannapolis and Durham. Throughout this complex project aiming to explore health in more depth and detail than ever before, the Baseline CAB members play a vital role in advising the Duke site, guiding engagement, and advocating for participants.
