The myRESEARCHnavigators team ensures that researchers are knowledgeable about relevant resources, collaborators, processes, and best practices for performing research at Duke. Staff have a variety of backgrounds: biochemistry, genetics, pathology, data science, public health, animal research, engineering, social science, and scientific integrity.
Service Details:
-
Research Navigation hotline: Research navigators are reached via email (myresearchnavigators@dm.duke.edu) or the “Research Help” widget of myRESEARCHhome. Adoption of the service has increased steadily since inception.
-
Researcher onboarding & consultations: These 90-minute 1:1 consultations are specific to area of expertise, career stage, and plans for research. All new research faculty are offered the service upon hire. It is a requirement in the School of Medicine, and most researchers in other schools (i.e., Nursing, Engineering, Arts & Sciences) across campus now request the service.
